My name is Tim Zook, I’m the lead developer for MyBookTable/MyBookProgress. Thanks for your suggestions, implementing multi-user support for MyBookProgress is something that would be great to add in the future. Unfortunately we are quite occupied with other projects at the moment, which means that we won’t be able to look into this right away. Thanks for reaching out to us though, we’ll let you know if this is something we’re able to move forward with in the coming months. Thanks,~Tim
customer suggestions
Hello Lisa, Thank you for your quick reply; I am very satisfied with the product, and was aware of some Amazon data issue (from Support Forums) before I purchased the product. The product is great, and I think the only one in the market that does what it promise. Yet thank you for the offer for a refund. However, I am trying to brain storm regarding a way to workaround the AWS limitations, by sending you the links in hopes the developers of the plugin can take a look into it, and derive some ideas. There is another page I saw …
Customer’s response to AWS – very helpful – keep for later
Hello Lisa, I’m pasting my email again below to restate our concerns. Thank you for your consideration. After talking to some of my clients who use MyBookTable, I wanted to follow back up on this issue. Sarah Mackenzie of Read-Aloud Revival (https://readaloudrevival.com/) has over 2,300 books created via MBT import. Leslie Rutland of Learning Through Literature (https://www.learningthroughliterature.com/) has almost 1,000 books created via MBT import. They are still using the Import function almost daily. Their sites are built around the MyBookTable features and the import feature is critical to their workflow. On their behalf, I would request that the import …

Responses from Amazon
Thank you for taking the time to contact us today. I apologize for any inconvenience you’ve experienced as a result of our recent change to Product Advertising API availability. In order to participate in this part of the program, your account would need to be completely accepted into the program. To be fully approved, you would need to use our other Product Linking tools on Associates Central to refer three qualifying sales. Once you have, we will conduct a manual review of your website within one week. If approved, you would have immediate access to Product Advertising API. This is the …
Tim’s answer with AWS issues
My name is Tim Zook, I am the lead developer for MyBookTable and I should be able to answer any questions you have about the technical workings of the plugin. AWS has relatively recently tightened the restrictions they have about rate limiting, the MyBookTable plugin is equipped to properly rate limit the requests submitted to AWS in the way that they want, but you will want to be sure that you are using the most recent version of your MyBookTable Upgrade plugin to be sure this is being done properly. Unless I am mistaken you own the MyBookTable Pro Upgrade …
shortcode functionality limitations
My name is Tim Zook, I’m the lead developer for MyBookTable. Unfortunately the MyBookTable shortcodes don’t currently support complex queries like the ones you’re looking for, partly because it would be challenging to create an easy-to-use interface for our Shortcode Inserter functionality, and we like to keep all of our shortcode functionality accessible through that interface if possible. However I will make a note of this and will look into possibly implementing this in a future version of MyBookTable as an advanced feature that’s not available through the Shortcode Inserter interface. Thanks for your feedback on this! ~Tim

Explanation of why upgrades cost money – Thomas Umstattd – CEO
In order to support the cost of adding all those new features we release a handful of the features in the new paid version. Right now we just finished work on 3.0 which have even more new features. Software development is not cheap and we need revenue to support it. We can’t support future feature on past payments. We need to have future payments to support future features. Initial questions to ask if MBT is broken
Have you made any custom modifications or custom theme code that integrates with MyBookTable? MyBookTable recently underwent an update that changed some of it’s interfaces and templating system. If not, are you sure you are running in Compatability Mode (found in the MyBookTable Settings page)? That can usually solve theme compatibility issues, though it’s not clear why these issues would have just started cropping up now. Could you link to the page that is displaying the problem? I’ll take a look and see if I can give more specific advice on how to resolve this as quickly as possible.
